HTST & reduced heat-treated milk
Pasteurized milk can have a shelf-life of well over 10 days and ultrapasteurized milk is more stable for 10-week periods under refrigeration. Spoilage is usually due to the growth of surviving spore-forming bacteria (Bacillus and Clostridium spp.) and post-contaminating psychotropic bacteria, in particular, Pseudomonas spp. Spoilage is characterized by the development of off-tastes and off-odors and physical changes of the product (curdling or coagulation).

 

NisinA® and NisinZ® can effectively inhibit bacteria development in milk product.
