DESCRIPTION
Chitoly™ AB is an acid-soluble fungal chitosan extracted from the cell walls of Agaricus bisporus, which is mainly used to prevent microbial contamination and quality loss in Alcoholic beverages and postharvest fruits and vegetables.

REGULATIONS
Chitosan has been recently approved for use as a novel food ingredients and aid-processing in Europe ((EC) No. 258/97, EFSA), USA (21 CFR 170.36, FDA). The regulations governing the use of Chitoly AB vary considerably in the countries in which it is currently approved. It is recommended to use it after ensuring compliance with your local regulations.

RED WINE
The addition of  0.3 g/kg Chitoly AB is effective in controlling Brettanomyces yeast infections in red wine.
 
JUJUBE
Blue mold caused by Penicillium expansum is one of the most serious postharvest diseases of jujube fruit. 0.3 g/kg Chitoly™ AB coating on jujube fruit significantly reduces the natural decay during storage at 0°C.
